In the previous month, a few twist and turns left some fighters in the dust. In Wanderlei's attempt to remain relevant and show the middleweight division a new contender, Franklin put the nail in his coffin with a spilt descision victory. These may be the end times for Silva as he now drops five of his last six.
Meanwhile, two heavyweight superstars recieved a bitter reality check. Tim Sylvia, coming in at over 300 pounds, barely had a chance to tap gloves before being dropped by former Olympian boxer Ray Mercer. Remember, this is the same man that lost to Kimbo Slice. Then, former top five heavyweight Andrei Arlovski was dropped by up and coming knockout artist, Brett Rogers. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the coming months after the fall of these once hailed fighters.
