Aloha Hawaii!

In a recent report from Jake Rossen, ESPN stated the Hawaii Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs’ Boxing division is all set to begin enforcing the state’s official MMA regulation sometime this week.

The legislation was passed in 2008 and will now change Hawaii’s MMA previous rules to mirror the rules used by the Nevada State Athletic commission today.

Why is this good? The recent regulation makes it a lot more likely that we could very well see the first UFC on Hawaiian soil in the promotion’s history.
